Bamurru Plains

Experience remote and beautiful wilderness at the unique luxury bush retreat that is Bamurru Plains, situated on the edge of the Mary River floodplains, just west of Kakadu National Park.

These wetlands are home to an abundant array of birdlife, crocodiles and buffalo, while the neighbouring savannah woodlands host an immense variety of wildlife including brumbies, wallabies, wallaroos and dingos. 4WD safaris, airboat tours and river cruises are just some of the ways guests are able to observe the diverse flora and fauna of this incredible area.

From February until the end of April Bamurru Plains is a dedicated fishing lodge. The Top End is renowned for its Barramundi fishing and an airboat fishing adventure from Bamurru is a unique and exhilarating way to experience this.

The stylish yet laidback lodge offers the perfect place to relax and soak up the beautiful surroundings. The 'Wild Bush Luxury' concept brings a uniquely Australian style to your stay - a down to earth yet attentive level of service; an appreciation of the finer details; and above all a team of hosts and guides who are passionate about the area and its wildlife.
